Sad, but True

This from Garrison Keillor: On Memorial Day we hear about men who gave their lives for their country, but many lives were not given, they were taken, and taken stupidly and carelessly.

Keillor has no right nor point of reference to know that lives were "taken" vs. "given". It is the man in uniform who makes that decision not some ethnocentric jounalist who sit on a lake in MN.

You may need to be educated, much like Mr. Keillor
